UPDATED PUMPING PREPAREDNESS

Is your pumping capacity prepared to deal with the large volumes of rainwater expected in Denmark at this time of the year? If inspection and service of your pumps have not been carried out yet, we recommend that you see to it right away. It is worth the effort to keep your pumps well-maintained and optimized, as emergency solutions are often much more expensive, and because your pumps should be operating at high performance, whenever needed.

Climate changes. Increased precipitation and water level.

Recent major and global climate changes are leading to increasing temperatures, precipitation, higher water levels in the oceans and increased high tide levels in connection with storms and floods. Looking back on last year’s development, the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI) reported record-high temperatures and precipitation, and these changes are leaving their mark on the Danish landscape.

The country is surrounded by water, and the majority of our cities are located on the coastline – Danish summer houses are traditionally situated in the lower coastal regions by the sea. Consequently, a lot of Danes, house owners as well as farmers, are potentially exposed to the devastating power of any future floods. The farming industry, in particular, is already experiencing the negative effects of the climate changes. Their land may be flooded, crops ruined and with large consequences for their businesses.

We see customers challenged by large volumes of rainwater and increased water levels – especially in the lower regions such as Lolland-Falster, Western Jutland and large parts of Zealand. We are happy to see that many of those at risk are taking precautions and booking inspection and service of their existing pumping units or investing in brand new units.
