A fishing facility in Chile receives two custom made pumps produced to be able to function in aggressive water - which is water with high salt concentration and high temperatures.

 

The pumps had to be adapted to special measurements because they replace older steel pumps. They are therefore designed with pump pipes made of the synthetic material HDPE, which does not corrode or release any substances into the water – even when working in aggressive water.

The T-bend had to have a size and diameter that is not produced in HDPE (and which would therefore require extra long design and production time). So we chose to use a steel T-bend, which has been sealed with an extremely hard-wearing composite mixture that can also withstand salt and extreme temperatures.

In this way, the pumps are designed to work stably for many years, despite the difficult conditions.

The pumps are designed to pump 350 l/sec at a head of 4.1 mh2o and 30 kw/h.

They have been shipped from Denmark and are on their way across the Altantic to Chile.
