LM screw pumps are in general use in sewage treatment plants for pumping return sludge and are manufactured mainly in galvanised steel, but it may be necessary to choose another material where the environment is aggressive.

Screw pumps are able to pump almost anything from clean water to substances with a high content of dry matter. The simple and robust structure minimises maintenance costs and secures reliable operation. If the full capacity of the pump is utilised it is also a very energy efficient pump.
